About the program

By joining this program you will have a chance to participate in international programs held at prestigious international universities. Mawhiba will supports students in all stages of the program, starting from registration to the completion of the program. These programs are held several countries such as The United States, The Untied Kingdom and Ireland, and offers students accommodation within the university dorms.

In addition to academic courses, the programs include activities that aim to develop the skills provide a rich university experience in all aspects, for a period ranging from two weeks to six weeks during the summer vacation.

If accepted, the student will receive travel tickets, tuition fees, housing and transportation.

Note: Registration in the National Program for Gifted Identification is a prerequisite for nomination into the program .

Conditions for joining the Talent Ambassadors Program

Note: Registration for the program is available in December of each year, and participating will be in June to August of each year .

Registration requirements:

National Program for Giftedness Identification students who are in 11th grade.

1. The student must be of Saudi nationality or have a Saudi mother.

2. The student must obtain a score of 1500 or higher on Mawhiba Multiple Cognitive Aptitude Test (whether the test language is Arabic or English).

3. If the student is tested for Mawhiba Multiple Cognitive Aptitude Test in Arabic, he/she must obtain one of the following English language test scores as a minimum:

4. To increase the chance of participation, it is required to obtain a score on the IELTS or TOEFL test, as they are among the basic requirements in most international programs.

5. The student must pay the financial contribution after being notified of the nomination, in order for his/her final registration in the program to be approved.

Additional criteria:

To increase your chances of participating, you must obtain a score of 120 or higher on the Duolingo test, as this is a basic requirement in some international programs.
The student must have national or international achievements.
The student must have won participations and medals in competitions or Olympiads.

* Registration in “Mawhiba Ambassadors” does not mean final acceptance to participate in the program.

* Registration will be available to students in batches based on their Mawhiba Multiple Cognitive Aptitude Test (MMCAT) scores and program requirements.

You can apply for a partial exemption from the financial contribution value for registration in the programs through the registration system if you belong to one of the following categories, provided that supporting documents are attached to verify the validity of the application.

Families registered with social security.
Affiliated with a charitable organization.
Children of martyrs.
Their status is proven by a legal document (insolvency document) .

Who is eligible to register for the program?

Students of the National Program for the Discovery of Gifted Students from the second year of secondary school of the current academic year who meet the conditions for registration in the program

What countries is the program held in?

Students are nominated for programs held in the United States, Britain and Ireland. The “Mawhiba Ambassadors Program” is looking forward to its future plan for geographical expansion in line with the standards of its programs.

Does passing the Mawhiba tests and being nominated for the Mawhiba Ambassadors Program mean final acceptance?

The student’s passing of the Mawhiba tests and his/her nomination for one of the Mawhiba Ambassadors programs does not constitute final acceptance, as final acceptance into the programs depends on filling out the registration forms on the program’s website and the extent of the student’s commitment to providing the required documents within the specified time, in addition to the clarity of the student’s answers and the strength of his/her persuasiveness in the essay questions. The more convincing and influential the answer is, the higher the percentage of his/her acceptance into the program.

Must I stay in the University dorms when oarticpating in Mawhiba Ambassadors?

Yes, the student must stay in the university dorms until the end of the program.

If the student is not nominated, can he/she apply to these programs individually?

Yes, the student can nominate himself/herself for the program he/she desires, in which case he/she is not considered a “Mawhiba” student and Mawhiba does not bear any responsibilities or costs towards him/her.

Who covers the program and travel costs?

A. Costs borne by the student:

• Costs of financial contribution to the Talent Ambassadors Program as required by (Controls for Student Participation in the Talent Ambassadors Program)

• Costs of obtaining international medical insurance.

• Visa issuance fees.

• Bear any additional costs in the program such as: books - supplies and stationery.

• Any additional personal expenses.

B. Costs borne by Talent:

The program's tuition fees include:

• The costs of the study program, which include:

Financial consideration for the student’s attendance at the program. Costs of attendance and participation in the international program.

Student accommodation costs, including daily meals provided by the program.

Transportation costs for the student from the airport to the program headquarters and vice versa (taking into account what is stated in the regulations for student participation in the Mawhiba Ambassadors Program)

• A round-trip economy class ticket for the student to the country where the program is held.

Will the student be accepted into the same program that was chosen as his/her first choice during the registration and selection period?

It is not necessary for the student to be nominated and registered in the program that is chosen as his/her first choice, as the nomination of students to the program is based on the students’ scores in the talent scale and English language tests, their desires and academic inclinations, in addition to the availability of seats in the program.

Are there any companions for students from Mawhiba when they travel to the program?

There are no Mawhiba supervisors accompanying students during travel. Students travel alone, and according to Mawhiba policy, the student resides in suitable housing according to the program requirements, whether at the program headquarters or the university housing, and they are supervised by officials from within the program. The guardian can accompany the student during the travel and stay in the same program city, but Mawhiba does not bear any costs incurred for that.

What should the student do if his/her guardian wants to go with him/her to the country where the program is held?

In the event that the parents wish to travel with the student, Mawhiba does not bear the responsibility or costs of the parents’ travel with the student, and the resulting changes (reservations, accommodation, visa, etc.). The student does not have the right to leave the program and be associated with the parents throughout the program period, and Mawhiba disclaims its responsibility for the student outside the program time and after it ends.

Can a student request separate accommodation during the program?

Students are required to reside in the student housing provided by the programme at its implementation location, and supervisors from the same host entity follow up on the students.

What is the registration mechanism for international programs?

A Mawhiba coordinator is appointed to be responsible for the student after nomination for the program, to be with the student step by step in all stages of registration. Students must follow her instructions and not take any step without communicating with the responsible coordinator.

Who registers students in international universities (student or Mawhiba)?

Registration is one of the skills that students acquire through experience, so students register on their own with the program coordinator informed of this without anticipating what the student is directed to do, with the student and the guardian signing the terms of participation in the Mawhiba Ambassadors Program, and providing the program with all registration requirements, in addition to providing Mawhiba with a copy of the registration confirmation. It is necessary not to register on the program website directly without referring to Mawhiba.

How important is it to communicate with the organization before, during and after the program?

Communication skills are one of the most important skills required of candidate students and they indicate the student’s professionalism. Therefore, the student must respond immediately to all Mawhiba correspondence.

In addition, an electronic system has been created on the Mawhiba website through which the student can communicate with the program coordinator and upload all required documents. The student must send an electronic copy of all correspondence between him/her and the program to the Mawhiba coordinator for follow-up and timely intervention in the best interest of the students themselves.

Mawhiba has the right to cancel the student’s participation and hold him/her responsible for returning all costs incurred by Mawhiba, and to exclude him/her from participating in the future in any of the following cases:

• Engaging in behaviors that violate public morals and ethics, such as: smoking, clothing that is inappropriate for the program environment, bullying, or assaulting others physically or verbally.

• Absence from program classes exceeding 10%.

• Proof that any of the student’s information, such as the grade, academic certificate, or health data, is incorrect.

Poor communication and failure to respond to emails or phone calls after the following attempts:

• Three emails.

• One text message.

• One phone call to the student.

• One phone call to the guardian.

What are the responsibilities of students after joining the Mawhiba Ambassadors programs?

Follow the instructions given by Mawhiba and the Program, and submit the required documents within the time specified by both Mawhiba and the Program.

Can we identify the students enrolled with the student in the program?

Yes, students are also provided with contact information for each other - each group according to the program they have been accepted into - to get to know each other and exchange information.

How much money does the student need during his/her participation in the program as expenses?

It varies from one program to another depending on the duration of the program’s stay and the city in which it is located. This information is usually available on the program’s website, specifically in the FAQ section. The student can inquire directly from the program before traveling.

If an international flight requires a temporary stop in another country, do I have to issue a visa for that country?

If the student wishes to leave the airport, he/she must obtain a visa for this country. Therefore, he/she must remain in the airport of the stopping country and be sure to catch the onward flight to the program city, noting that some airports in the world require obtaining a visa for the stopping country.

What type of visa does a student need?

The student obtains the visa based on the program’s request and according to the type of visa mentioned on the program’s website and the program information file sent to the nominated students, as the type of visa differs according to each program.

Is the registration fee refunded after completing participation and all requirements?

The refundable insurance of 1000 riyals will be refunded, provided that all post-program requirements are met, including the certificate of participation, evaluation and final project if any, and any other requirements requested by Mawhiba after the student’s participation in the program ends.

If I have any questions about my registration status, preferences and nomination for the program, how can I contact the program officials?

If the student is a candidate for registration and specifying desires in the Mawhiba Ambassadors Program, he/she can contact us via email at misp@mawhiba.org.sa or via the Contact Us service on the Mawhiba website with the necessity of clarifying the inquiry accompanied by the student’s ID number.
