The Saudi physics team continues to flourish and reaches its third achievements within months by winning 5 international awards at the International Physics Olympiad of 2022

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba", achieved 3 medals and 2 certificates in the “International Physics Olympiad of 2022", during its 52nd edition, which has been remotely held in Switzerland, during the period from July 10 to 18, with the participation of 368 students of 75 countries. 
The student, Sadek Al Abbad of the third grade of high school of Riyadh Education Department, won a silver medal, crowning his Mawhiba's training journey, during which he received 2385 training hours. The student, Jawad Al Saif of the third grade of high school of Eastern Province Education Department, won a bronze medal, 
after an intensive preparation, during which he received 2385 training hours. The student, Lama Al Ahdal of the third grade of high school of Education Department, won a bronze medal, after a long journey of work, during which she received 2385 training hours. The student, Hussain Kadah of the second grade of high school of Jeddah Education Department, has been awarded a certificate of merit, after a serious preparation, during which he received 1775 training hours. The student, Mohammed Al Barakat of the second grade of high school of Eastern Province Education Department, has been awarded a certificate of merit, after an intensive preparation, during which he received 1775 training hours. Dr. Amal Al Hazaa, Secretary General In-charge of King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba" Foundation, extended his warmest congratulations and compliments to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and H.H. the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense - may Allah protect them - for this new national achievement, which has been achieved by the grace of Allah Almighty, and then with the support of the wise leadership - may Allah protect them - for the country's sons, which resulted in this uniqueness and excellence among the developed countries in international forums and competitions. Al Hazaa also congratulated the Ministry of Education, the students, their families, schools and teachers for the achievement, wishing them further success. The Secretary General of Mawhiba Foundation extended thanks and appreciation to H.E. the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sheikh, for his great and continuous support for Mawhiba and for his male and female gifted children of public education students, and his keenness to provide them with all necessary means and capabilities to make the fruitful partnership between the Ministry and Mawhiba succeed and to transfer it to wider horizons, in order to empower gifted Saudis and direct them to the podiums. 
Dr. Amal Al Hazaa, Secretary General In-charge of Mawhiba Foundation, stated that such achievement reflects the strategic and integrated partnership and the concerted efforts between Mawhiba and its partners, including Ministry of Education and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology “KAUST" and their strategic partners, to reach achievements, win global awards, achieve the initiatives and goals of the KSA's Vision 2030 and stay the course to make the KSA among the world's top 20 countries in terms of education and qualification. Dr. Amal Al Hazaa, Secretary General of King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, “Mawhiba" said: This is the third achievement of the Saudi physics team in a few months. It gifted the country an international award in the Asian Physics Olympiad of 2022 last May, which has been remotely held in India, and 3 international awards in the North Baltic Olympiad of 2022 hosted by Estonia last April, praising this great national achievement, which placed the KSA in high esteem in one of the major international scientific competitions.
The KSA's participation, represented by “Mawhiba" Foundation and Ministry of Education, in international competitions and forums, represents a part of a complete journey and an integrated system of Mawhiba Foundation, called “Gifted Student Journey". It comprises several initiatives, including: Mawhiba classes, enrichment summer programs, academic and research, programs of mentorship, creativity and programs of enrollment at top international universities, being offered after school and in the summer. With such achievement, the KSA raised its balance of Olympic awards to 39 medals and certificates of merit. 
The Saudi physics team included in the International Physics Olympiad five male and female students, after intensive internal and external training, spanning thousands of hours, by an elite group of Saudi and foreign experts, including seasonal forums, intensive training and tests aimed at placement to participate in international competitions.
